I was born in Normandy, France. I studied Software Engineering and Cognitive Science at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne [UTC] and History of Narrative Cinema at the University of Waterloo (Ontario, CA).
I started my professional career as a engineer in the research department of the french Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA) where I designed and developped experimental tools for semi-automatic indexing and description of audiovisual archives. I had the chance to work among brilliant and generous people whose passion and commitment were to share and spread knowledge.
I moved to China in 2004 and found the opportunity to get closer to what I always aimed to do : create images and tell stories. I started working for some of the first foreign production companies established in Shanghai. Soon I formed a partnership with two photographers and created THE COMPANY STUDIO, a photo and video production studio based in Shanghai. Beside our commercial production and creation projects, we opened our studio to diverse activities, organizing photography workshops, video editing classes and art exhibitions.
For more than 15 years I have worked on numerous projects for a wide range of clients : from international companies to art galleries and museums, from advertising agencies to schools and public institutions. I have managed projects of various kinds, exploring different technics and covering a large variety of topics.
Engineers, workers, scholars, artists… I have the chance to film them while they do what they do best and tell what they know best. By witnessing their diligence and mastery, I can satisfy my curiosity and keep on learning.
I moved back to Europe in 2016 and I am now living in Luxembourg.
