I was born in Normandy, France. I studied software engineering and cognitive science at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) and history of narrative cinema at the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada).
I began my professional career as an engineer in the research department at the French Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA) where I designed and developed experimental tools for semi-automatic indexing and description of audiovisual heritage archives. I was fotunate to work with brilliant and generous people whose passion and commitment were to share and disseminate knowledge.
In 2004, I moved to China where I found the opportunity to pursue my passions for exploration, image creation and storytelling. After working for some of the first foreign production companies established in Shanghai. I soon teamed up and created THE COMPANY STUDIO, a photo and video production studio based in Shanghai. In addition to our commercial production and creative projects, we opened our studio to various activities, organizing and hosting photography workshops, video editing courses and art exhibitions.
For over 15 years, I have worked on numerous projects for a wide range of clients : from international companies to public institutions, from advertising agencies to art galleries and museums. I have managed projects of all kinds, exploring different techniques and tackling a wide variety of topics.
Engineers, workers, academics, craftsmen, artists… I have the chance to observe them at their best. By witnessing their expertise and mastery, I can continue to satisfy my curiosity, and continue to learn.
I moved back to Europe in 2016 and I am now living in Luxembourg.
