I was born in Normandy, France. I studied Software Engineering and Cognitive Science at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne [UTC] and History of Narrative Cinema at the University of Waterloo (Ontario, CA).
I started my professional career as an engineer in the research department of the french Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA). I worked among brilliant and generous people : Scientists and philosophers whose passion and commitment were to share and spread knowledge. If my engineering background brought me a deep sense of methodology and strong skills in project management, it has also developed my curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
I moved to China in 2004. Soon I had the opportunity to do what I always aimed to do : create images and tell stories. After working for the first foreign production companies established in Shanghai, I formed a partnership with two photographers and created THE COMPANY STUDIO, a photo and video production studio based in Shanghai. Beside our commercial production and creation projects, we opened our studio to diverse activities, organizing photography workshops, video editing classes and art exhibitions.
For more than 10 years I have been working on numerous audiovisual projects for a wide range of clients: from international groups to art galleries and museums, from advertising agencies to schools and public institutions…
I manage projects of various kinds, exploring different domains and a large variety of topics. I developed strong communication skills and learned how to work within a multicultural and multilingual environment.
Engineers, workers, scholars, artists… I have the chance to film them when they do what they do best and when they tell what they know the most about. I can fulfill my curiosity and be the witness of their diligence and mastership.
I am now living in Luxembourg.
